Your initial appointment begins with a detailed case history to understand your hearing concerns, medical background, and lifestyle needs. This is followed by a comprehensive audiological evaluation — typically 45 to 60 minutes — that includes objective and subjective hearing tests. You will receive a clear explanation of your results and a discussion of appropriate next steps, whether that involves further testing, hearing aid consideration, or medical referral.
No referral is required. You may contact our office directly to schedule an evaluation at any time. If you have a referral from your physician, please bring it with you, but it is not a prerequisite for receiving care.
Coverage varies by plan. Many medical insurance policies cover diagnostic hearing evaluations when medically indicated, while hearing aid benefits are typically handled separately. Our office can verify your insurance benefits and provide transparent cost information before any services are rendered so there are no surprises.
As soon as possible. Research consistently shows that untreated hearing loss is associated with accelerated cognitive decline, social isolation, and reduced quality of life. The longer hearing loss goes unaddressed, the more difficult it becomes to benefit from amplification.
